Our work depends on a Configuration Management Specialist joining our Air Force (AF) Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) Enterprise Product Support (EPS) team at Robins AFB, GAHOW OUR CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT :
Develops, maintains, updates, and implements CIs; controls configuration baselines; and conducts functional and physical configuration audits.
Supports efficient and effective service management processes by providing accurate and timely configuration information that aids decision making. Ensures the integrity between business requirements and CIs by maintaining an accurate and complete CMS.
Establishes procedures for auditing and verifying the accuracy of CIs, adhering to processes, and identifying process deficiencies.
Establishes appropriate authorization controls for modifying CIs and verifying compliance with software licensing.
Manages and maintains the CMS within the ITSM system, including a logical model of the IT Service Areas’ devices and relationships.
Accounts for all IT assets and provides accurate information on IT Service Area components and configurations; provides a sound basis for incident, problem, change, and release management; verifies configuration records against the infrastructure; and corrects any exceptions.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED (Required):
Security Clearance Level: TS with SCI Eligibility
Required Experience: 10 years
Required Certifications: Security+ required. System Administrator 451 compliant. IAT Level 1 desired.
Education: BA/BS or MA/MS Degree
Location: Robins AFB, GA
